Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Program (KP-RP) was initially planned for rehabilitation and/or reconstruction of education, health and watsan facilities, in the four districts (Swat, Buner, Dir Lower and Upper) of Malakand division. Later on, additional funds were obligated for flood affected infrastructure in other parts of KP and FATA as well.

The program comprised: 121 Schools; 18 BHUs; 23 Water Supply & Sanitation schemes (including 120 hand pumps, and installation of 14 electricity transformer & 30 voltage regulators); Khwazakhela bridge (410 m) and Mingora bridge (48 m) in Swat; Barang road and Selai Patey bridge (90 m) in Malakand / Bajaur Agency (FATA); and Munda Headworks in Charsadda.

It was a large infrastructure reconstruction / rehabilitation program involving a number of stakeholders. PaRRSA, on behalf of the GoKP, performed as the Implementing Agency for the program. Other departments/ stakeholders included C&W Department, PHED, PKHA, FDRD Irrigation Department, FATA Secretariat, Tehsil / District Administration, NGOs, local communities and more than 60 contractors / sub-contractors, etc.

AGES also provided services for the following sub-projects funded by GoP and other donors.

2010 Flood Damages Assessment Report (100+ fully & 500+ partially damaged schools)
Hydrological study of Swat river; field surveys, detailed designs & cost estimates for bridge & retaining structures along 22 Km Barang road in Malakand/Bajaur agencies.
Review of designs and cost estimates for Tehsil Complex, Swat.
Rehabilitation of Excelsior College & Sangota Public School Swat.
Restoration of 19 Irrigation channels in district Swat.
About 42 Km roads in district Swat, Buner and Dir Lower.
15 schools of UNDP, UNHABITAT & Save the Children.
Rehabilitation of Fiza Gat park and reconstruction of various govt. buildings and DWSS.
Technical assistance to PaRRSA for surveys and design of all DWSS in Swat & Buner.
Technical assistance to PaRRSA in preparation of PC-1s, etc.
More than 160 EDFs for schools, BHUs & DWSS.
EDFs for Barang road and Selai Patay bridge; and Amandara & Munda Headworks.
