Hingol dam site is proposed on Hingol river at a distance of 19 Km off Coastal Highway, near Aghor, district Lasbela, Balochistan, and about 248 Km to the north-west of Karachi.
The project is planned to store the flows of Hingol river by the construction of about 54 m high dam. The stored water will be released to meet the irrigation water requirements of the downstream cultivable area. Power generation will be a byproduct.

The catchment area at proposed dam site is 26,941 Km². Average annual inflow estimated at dam site is about 662.66 Mm³.
